About Manara Magazine

Manara – “Lighthouse” – aims to foster critical conversations on the Middle East and North Africa region through the voices of established and emerging specialists in politics, international relations, Middle East studies, public policy, sociology and other fields.

With its roots in 2018 and its print version formally established in early 2019, Manara Magazine is the publication wing of the Cambridge Middle East and North Africa Forum (MENAF). Launched by the founding members of MENAF, the purpose of the magazine is to enable MENA-watchers to critically engage with the region’s political, strategic and social developments while providing valuable insight to the rest of MENAF’s following. Dedicated to bringing our readers sharp analysis, Manara Magazine aims to bring policymakers, analysts, academics, and students together in a single publication.
